A concise record of the current website-aligned release. GitHub remains the source for the complete archive and downloadable builds.
v0.9.34
A macOS 27 hover-compatibility release: the island reliably wakes at the exact screen edge and stays stable while the pointer remains there.
The exact top edge is now included in screen, wake-zone and expanded-panel hit testing, fixing missed wakes and repeated closing at the edge.
The fixed-size AppKit panel now owns its geometry while SwiftUI content changes inside it, preventing content sizing from shifting the island.
Display and menu-bar layout updates reuse the existing hosting view so hover tracking is not torn down under a stationary pointer.
Verified on macOS 27.0 (26A428) with a 12-second edge hold and 20 consecutive expand/collapse cycles; the universal build still supports Apple silicon and Intel.
v0.9.33
Hover preview and wake behaviour polish: previews stop blinking between cards, and the island only opens when you actually reach for it.
Hover previews no longer disappear while moving between overlapping cards — the outgoing card can no longer cancel the incoming one.
The notch wake zone is tightened to the real notch (plus a 4pt margin), so sweeping the top-centre of the screen no longer opens the island by accident.
v0.9.32
A power-behaviour fix release: Ledge no longer keeps your Mac awake, and recordings now do.
Fixed a sleep-prevention assertion held from launch — Macs can idle-sleep again while Ledge runs in the background.
Hover responsiveness is unchanged: App Nap stays opted out via a sleep-safe activity type.
Meeting recordings now prevent idle sleep only while recording and release the assertion the moment they stop.
v0.9.31
A focused interaction release for pinned items, multi-selection and iCloud Relay.
Pinned cards stay at the front of the shelf, keeping important material immediately reachable.
Marquee selection yields to card dragging, so a selected batch drags out together instead of falling back to one card.
Relay now matches the main shelf for batch dragging, selection clearing and post-drag state.
Hover tracking is restored throughout Relay, including when its view is not the key window.
v0.9.30
Ledge is now a universal build — Intel Macs receive automatic updates again after v0.9.29 shipped Apple silicon only.
The app and its embedded Sparkle framework ship as a single arm64 + Intel binary; the release pipeline verifies every Mach-O slice before publishing.
The update feed no longer carries a chip requirement, so both Apple silicon and Intel Macs on macOS 14+ see and install this release.
Release notes now state the architecture read from the actual signed binary instead of the build request.
v0.9.29
A reliability release focused on interaction — the notch no longer loses responsiveness during system-level drags, menus and dialogs.
Timers now run in the common run-loop mode: hover fades, undo windows and background housekeeping keep working during native drag-and-drop, menu-bar tracking and open/save dialogs.
Dragging from apps that offer several pasteboard types (files bundled with previews or plain text) no longer loses the underlying file — the strongest type always wins.
Diagnostic logging is quieter: off by default in release builds, rotates at 1 MB and throttles repeated messages.
Core interaction logic moved into a shared module with automated checks, and a UI smoke test now covers expand/collapse on installed release builds.
v0.9.28
The release that introduces iCloud Relay — move material between your Macs and hand files to friends through a shared folder.
New Relay tool: create or connect an iCloud Drive shared folder and send files, folders, images, text and links from the notch.
Shelf cards drag straight into Relay with the same cyan highlight as AirDrop and Beautify; the drop auto-opens the Relay view and originals stay on the shelf.
The Relay view joins the island state machine: Esc returns to the shelf first, and collapsing always resets to the main view.
Transactional imports (partial failures roll back), conflict-free duplicate names, and a disconnect that never deletes shared files.
First-time Relay setup defaults to iCloud Drive with a guided flow; footer clipping on 13-inch MacBook Air displays is fixed.
v0.9.27
The current universal build for Apple silicon and Intel Macs, with safer and more efficient multi-display interaction.
Choose the main display or all displays; only the active screen expands and accepts drops.
Cross-screen hover and drag routing now use one global pointer monitor.
AirDrop and Beautify drop targets correctly follow the visible vertical tool tiles.
Transient hover, selection and stack state reset when interaction moves between screens.
Single-item selection deletion and display hot-plug state reconciliation are fixed.
v0.9.25
The release that introduced marquee selection, protected pinning, configurable tool modules and local meeting recording.
Notch and top-handle shelf for files, images, links, text and working windows.
Vertical AirDrop, Beautify and audio-recording tools.
Batch stacking, type organization, selection and protected pinned items.
Optional image and text clipboard capture with password-manager pasteboard blocking.
Dynamic screenshot visibility: hidden when collapsed and capturable while expanded.
